I have yet to get replacement sunglasses, speaking about the hot Middle Eastern sunglasses. I’m not in the sun a lot fortunately and unfortunately, so for no it isn’t a problem.
And Jordan is actually pretty westernized, many women are covered (muhajjiba) but it is a choice, but we wear pants / long skirts and long sleeves every day.

I’m surprised you don’t have to cover your head. It may be a good idea, if not for cultural reasons, but to shield you from hot middle eastern sun!
